Target Audience (Preliminary)


The brief stated that we had to make a new college magazine, and I decided to target the magazine towards post 16 (16-18 years) students.

I made this decision based on the fact that I am in Post 16, and it seemed relevant to make a magazine based on the age group I know most about. I also feel that using a magazine to communicate with this particular age group would be very effective, as there are lots of successful magazines that are aimed at this age group.

To convey that I am aiming this magazine at this particular age group, I will use more casual language techniques, bold colours, and relevant imagery.
